XXCELL Towing uses a flatbed truck for vehicle transport. Unlike wheel-lift towing, a flatbed carries your entire vehicle on the truck bed, eliminating stress on the drivetrain, transmission, suspension, and tires.
Flatbed transport is a strong choice for AWD, 4WD, electric, luxury, classic, and lowered vehicles because it keeps all four wheels off the road. We follow vehicle-specific towing procedures when transporting them.
Every vehicle is secured with soft straps over the tires, never chains or hooks on the body, and our operators are trained on low-clearance loading for sports cars and lowered vehicles.
The difference between flatbed and old-style hook-and-chain or wheel-lift towing matters more than most drivers realize. On a flatbed, your vehicle is winched gently onto a level bed and secured by the tires, nothing pulls against the frame, the bumper, or the drivetrain. For modern vehicles with sensitive drivetrains, air suspension, sensors, or low body panels, flatbed transport can reduce exposure to transport-related damage.
For many all-wheel-drive vehicles, flatbed transport is the preferred method. Towing a Subaru, Audi Quattro, or BMW xDrive with wheels turning on the road can wreck the transfer case and cost thousands in repairs. Every XXCELL tow rides fully off the ground, so your AWD vehicle is always transported the right way.
We flatbed everything from everyday sedans to six-figure exotics and classic cars. The gallery on our homepage is full of real Bergen County jobs, Porsche 911s, Taycans, Audi e-trons, and vintage Corvettes we've moved for dealers and private owners. The same care goes into every vehicle, whether it's a collector car headed to storage or a commuter car headed to the shop.
Some vehicles can tolerate an old-style wheel-lift tow. Many cannot, and the repair bill for getting it wrong dwarfs the cost of the tow:
The bed tilts and slides back until it meets the pavement at a shallow angle. Your vehicle is winched on slowly, straight and level, then secured over the tires with soft straps so nothing pulls against the frame, the bumper, or the suspension. Nothing touches the road for the entire trip. If the car cannot roll or steer, we use dollies or skates to get it into position rather than dragging it, and if the approach angle is still too steep for a low front lip, we bridge it with boards.
Flatbed suits everything, which is why we run flatbeds only: economy sedans, family SUVs, pickups, work vans, Porsches, Teslas, Rivians, Land Rovers, and classic Corvettes and Triumphs. Motorcycles ride upright in a chock on the same beds.
Flatbed transport is not an upsell here; it is how XXCELL Towing is equipped. Our Hino 258 flatbed keeps all four wheels of the transported vehicle off the road, making it well suited for AWD vehicles, EVs, SUVs, luxury vehicles, and everyday passenger cars.
We dispatch 24 hours a day, 365 days a year throughout Bergen County, covering every town including Ridgewood, Paramus, Westwood, Ramsey, and Montvale. Every job is quoted upfront before the truck rolls, and our USDOT registration (4301989) is on the side of the bed where you can read it.
Nothing touches the ground during transport, so there's no drivetrain wear and far less exposure to road hazards. It's the method dealerships and collectors insist on.
