Changing a tire yourself on the shoulder of Route 17 or Route 4 is genuinely dangerous, traffic flies by inches from where you'd be kneeling. Let us handle it. We position the truck to help protect the work area, and our operators swap your spare with a proper floor jack and torque tools, not the flimsy scissor jack and lug wrench buried in your trunk.
We change flats everywhere in Bergen County: highways, local streets, parking lots, and driveways, 24 hours a day. Once your spare is on, we torque the lugs to spec so you can drive safely to a tire shop and get the flat properly repaired or replaced.
No spare in the car? Many newer vehicles don't come with one. It's not a problem, the same truck that responds can flatbed you to the tire shop of your choice, so there's no second call and no long wait on the roadside.
Sometimes swapping a spare in your driveway is fine. These are the times it is not:
Route 17 and Route 4 carry fast traffic past narrow shoulders, and the scissor jack that came with your car was designed for a level garage floor, not a cambered shoulder with trucks passing three feet away. If you have a flat at speed, do not brake hard: ease off the accelerator, hold the wheel firmly, and coast as far right as you can before stopping. Stay belted inside with the hazards on until help arrives. A destroyed tire is cheaper than any alternative.
Cars, SUVs, pickups, and vans, including vehicles with locking lug nuts, torque-sensitive alloy wheels, low-profile performance tires, and run-flats.
We position the truck to shield the work area, lift with a proper floor jack rather than the emergency jack in your trunk, and torque the lug nuts to specification so the wheel is safe to drive on. If there is no usable spare, the same truck flatbeds you to the tire shop of your choice with no second call.
We dispatch 24 hours a day, 365 days a year throughout Bergen County, covering every town including Paramus, Ramsey, Fort Lee, Teaneck, and Englewood. Every job is quoted upfront before the truck rolls, and our USDOT registration (4301989) is on the side of the bed where you can read it.
Many newer cars don't. We'll tow you to a tire shop, the truck that responds can do both, so there's no second wait.
